Rejuvenate, relax your mind and take your meditation practice to a whole new level in Unplug’s very first retreat in the magical paradise of Bali! Stay 7 days and 6 nights, surrounded by tropical jungle and beauty at the most jaw-dropping wellness resort you’ll ever experience.
Our iconic teacher, Steve Ross, will be headlining this bucket list trip! We’ll have daily meditation, yoga, deluxe spa treatments, and clean organic food to bring your body in tune and leave you feeling wonderful.
Unplug teachers Paul Teodo and Leah Santa Cruz (who LIVE in Bali and can't wait to show you around) will be your island locals dedicated to providing an incredible week that will leave you feeling inspired, energized and re-centered.
Whether you come with others or arrive solo, you will leave with a new group of friends and a vacation you will never forget.
Paul’s signature class, “Dissolve” is a favorite at the studio. His very specific body scan meditation will leave you feeling serene. He was also recently ranked the #1 Yoga Teacher in LA by The Culture Trip. One of his unique talents as an accomplished musician is playing original guitar in open-tunings, a style he has perfected for meditative settings over the last 20 years. Prior to moving to Bali, Paul led a guitar meditation at Unplug the last Friday of the month that was always sold out. Paul is a Bali aficionado and can give you the best tips on how to spend your free time in his favorite place in the world. Meet locals, and explore the behind-the-scenes.
It's hard to describe the Power of Steve! Just being in his presence makes you feel calmer and happier. His humor makes you smile and his knowledge will help you dive deep. A former monk (Hindu tradition). Lifelong meditator. Founder of Maha Yoga, one of the first yoga studios in the West. Steve has spent many years in the close company of enlightened beings and has traveled the world teaching workshops and retreats. He was also the Unplug muse and our first teacher. Steve has personally taught meditation and yoga to more than 10,000 people around the world and leads teacher training programs globally.
Leah’s approach to meditation integrates the neurosciences with the choreography of our inner nature. After a decade working at Microsoft and startups, Leah tailored her meditation practice for the day-to-day, in order to minimize anxiety and improve quality of life. She also leads workshops on intimacy and connection. Her trainings with Steve Ross, Dr. Lorin Roche and Google's “Search Inside Yourself Institute" has made her style the perfect blend of mindfulness and sensory embodiment. Leah moved to Bali in January of 2017, and will be leading morning rice paddy walking meditations. She will be your go-to for all things Bali, whether it's shopping or discovering cultural gems.

What time does the retreat start and end?
It starts at 4pm on Sunday, September 24th and ends at 12pm noon on Saturday, September 30th.
When should I arrive in Bali?
We recommend arriving the day or two prior and staying on the island so that you can have time to unwind, unpack and more easily jump right into the first evening of the retreat with the group. Please let us know if you plan to arrive early and we can help arrange shuttle.
Do I have to participate in all activities?
This is YOUR retreat, you’re never required to do any of the activities and we’re planning to give you plenty of free time to explore, shop and relax on your own. We highly suggest attending the group activities as they are certain to be fun, educational and transformational in nature. Every excursion and detail is planned with benefiting YOU in mind.
Do I have to have meditation experience to go?
Absolutely not, but know that by the end of the trip, you will fall in love with the practice. All of the meditations will be great for both beginners and advanced meditators.
Will the yoga be difficult?
Steve and Paul will offer daily yoga classes that are safe and approachable for everyone, both for beginners and adjustable for more advanced yogis. Many classes will be restorative yin classes as well.
What is the difference between the three room types?
Private Villa (King) - A gorgeous villa overhanging the hillside with its own deck (maximum privacy), and a bedroom with a king bed and bathroom.
Private Villa (Doubles) - A gorgeous villa overhanging the hillside with its own deck (maximum privacy), and a bedroom with two twin beds and bathroom.
2-Bed Shared Pool Villas - Two villas connected together by a living room, a deck and an infinity pool overhanging the hillside in between the two villas. Despite being connected, the villas are quite private within themselves. This is a perfect option for friends and/or family who want to stay together.
What airport do I fly into?
The airport code is DPS, which stands for Ngurah Rai International Airport (in Denpasar). It is approximately 2 hours from the retreat center and taxis should be inexpensive. We can also help arrange a shuttle for you. Check out the current airfare prices on Google Flights here.
What is the estimated cost for transportation to and from the airport/retreat?
Anywhere from $20-$35. Leah and Paul will help arrange shuttles to and from the airport..
What is the additional cost if I were to arrive a day early (on Saturday)?
The cost to arrive a day early is totally up to where you choose to stay, the type of room, etc. It is your responsibility to reserve the extra night(s) on your own, whether you come early or stay after the retreat.
If I am coming with another person, can we split the retreat cost?
Retreat costs are per person. If you wish to share a room with the person you're going with, you can make a roommate request once you have booked.
Do I have to bring my own meditation cushion and yoga mat?
Cushions and mats will be provided at the resort. You are welcome to bring your own if you wish.
What will a typical day look like?
You can participate in the retreat activities as much as you like and move at your own pace. We’ve carefully crafted a schedule to give you plenty of free daily practice, free time, group mingling and traditional Balinese and/or nature excursions. A typical day will look something like this:
